Our building is designated as a historic-cultural monument by the LA Cultural Heritage Commission and was designed by the famed architectural team of Clarence H. Russell and Norman W. Alpaugh in 1924.  We originally opened as a residential hotel and was easily spotted by passersby due to its stunning neon sign which graced the building’s rooftop.
